Save any records you need first. Deleting your account does not cancel a loan, change a repayment obligation or remove records held independently by a lender or authority.
Request account deletion
If you can sign in
Open NGuardian → Account → Delete account. Read the deletion information, type DELETE and submit your request. Keep the request reference shown in the app.
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in
Email service@nguardian.opay.help with the subject NGuardian account deletion request. State that you want your account and associated data permanently deleted, and include the registered mobile number and a safe way to contact you.
You can use your own email service; clicking the link is optional. Do not send an OTP, password, bank PIN, card details or identity document. Our privacy team will verify ownership through a callback to your registered number or a documented account-recovery process before accepting the request. If you no longer control the number, explain that in your message.
The privacy team replies with a deletion reference after verification. Sending an email alone does not mean your account has already been deleted.
What is deleted
- Account profile, phone number, optional email, avatar and preferences.
- Open and closed cases, complaints, loan relief applications, offers, repayment submissions and case history.
- AI conversations, summaries and associated processing records.
- Uploaded evidence files, including stored versions, and file metadata.
- Notifications, registered push identifiers, sign-in challenges and account sessions.
Once accepted, the request disables account access and registered push delivery. We cannot reverse deletion after the process starts. You can create a new empty account after deletion completes.
Timing and retained records
After a verified deletion request is accepted, deletion from active systems normally completes after about one day. We first wait for upload links to expire, remove files, then check again before removing the account and related database records. Temporary technical failures are retried. For a delayed request, email service@nguardian.opay.help with your request reference.
Restricted disaster-recovery backups and a limited deletion ledger may retain copies or an internal account identifier for a defined recovery period before scheduled expiry. They are isolated from the active service and are not used to serve the app. The ledger exists only to prevent an old backup from restoring a deleted account; it contains no phone number, file paths or conversation content. Contact service@nguardian.opay.help for the current retention period that applies to your request.
Information already held by a lender or authority is controlled by that organisation. Contact them separately about their retention and deletion rules. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
