NGuardian supports debt mediation and consumer complaints. We are not a lender, do not collect your repayments, and cannot guarantee that a lender or regulator will accept a request.
About these terms
These Terms govern your access to the NGuardian Android application, the website at nguardian.opay.help and related support services. By creating an account or submitting a case, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
“NGuardian”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the NGuardian service. “You” means the customer using the service. Headings and summaries help readability but do not replace the full text.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, be able to enter a binding agreement, and provide a Nigerian mobile number that you are authorised to use. Information supplied during registration and case submission must be accurate, current and complete.
- Keep access to your device and verification codes secure.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- Do not create accounts for another person or impersonate a borrower, lender or public authority.
What NGuardian provides
NGuardian organises information you provide, helps you prepare a proposed repayment or settlement position, supports communications around a case, records complaint details, stores private evidence and provides text-based AI conversations.
NGuardian does not lend money, purchase debt, repair credit scores, act as a debt collector, receive repayments on behalf of a lender, or promise a particular financial or regulatory result.
Loan relief and mediation
When you submit a relief request, you authorise NGuardian to organise the loan and hardship information you provide and use it to support settlement discussions concerning the identified debt. A proposal is a request, not a binding variation of your loan agreement.
Your lender remains responsible for deciding whether to accept, reject or change any proposal. Existing obligations may continue until the lender expressly confirms different terms. Do not assume that interest, fees, collection activity or repayment dates have changed merely because a case is open.
Consumer complaints
A complaint submitted in NGuardian is received for internal review first. It is not automatically filed with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, a court or any other authority.
If an administrator later records a regulator submission or another external step, the case timeline will show that change. You remain free to use an official regulator’s complaint channel independently.
AI conversations
The NGuardian AI legal information assistant provides general information and case support through text. You are chatting with AI, not a human lawyer. AI responses can be inaccurate and do not create a solicitor-client relationship or replace advice from an independently retained Nigerian legal practitioner.
Do not rely on an AI response as the only basis for a court deadline, criminal matter, threatened violence, insolvency decision or other urgent or high-impact legal action. Seek qualified independent advice when your situation requires it.
Evidence and documents
You may upload selected JPEG, PNG or PDF files that are relevant to a case. Evidence is optional for loan relief requests; the Android complaint form requires at least one relevant file. You confirm that you have the right to provide each file and that it is not unlawfully obtained, misleading, malicious or unrelated.
Uploaded images and PDFs are stored as private case evidence. They are not supplied to the AI assistant. The AI context is limited to structured case text, summaries and chat messages.
Offers and repayment
You decide whether to accept an active settlement offer shown in the app. Before relying on a new settlement amount or schedule, wait until the case confirms that the lender has accepted those terms. Submitting or accepting a proposal does not automatically change your existing repayment obligations.
Pay the confirmed amount directly through the original lender’s official app or another channel that the lender independently verifies. Return to NGuardian to upload your receipt for review.
Acceptable use
You must not use NGuardian to submit false claims, manipulate documents, threaten another person, distribute malware, probe security controls, interfere with another customer’s case, automate abusive traffic or violate applicable law.
We may restrict content or access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, staff, the service or a lawful investigation.
Important limitations
We aim to keep the service accurate and available, but case outcomes depend on information from you, lenders and other third parties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a waiver, a repayment plan, removal of a credit entry, regulator action or lender confirmation within a particular time.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limitation will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable Nigerian law.
Changes and suspension
We may update the service or these Terms to reflect new features, safety requirements or legal obligations. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel before they take effect where practicable.
You may stop using NGuardian at any time. We may suspend access for serious misuse, security risk or legal necessity, while preserving records that must be retained or remain relevant to an open case.
Questions about these terms
For questions about these Terms, use Contact Us or email service@nguardian.opay.help. For help with a particular case, open that case in the NGuardian app or use the AI Help tab so your request is connected to the correct record.
